We are pleased to welcome you to the 20th conference in “Density Functional Theory and its applications” (DFT 2024).
This well-established international conference series brings together chemists and physicists from all over the world working in the development and application of Density Functional Theory. The conference covers a wide range of scientific fields and is an ideal place for discussion.
World renowned scientists will present their latest contributions in 10 plenary and 18 invited talks. We invite you to participate to this event and take the opportunity to present your work at this key conference for the DFT community as one of the 20 oral presentations or as a poster in one of the two scheduled poster sessions.

Scientific Programme
The scientific program extends over five days and consists of 10 plenary (45 min) and 18 invited lectures (30 min) by world renowned speakers, presenting their latest contributions to the DFT field. A total of 20 slots for contributed talks (15 min) along with two poster sessions are available to present your work at this key conference for the DFT community.

The conference covers all aspects of DFT, from the latest methodological developments to cutting-edge applications, bringing together chemists and physicists from all over the world and making it an ideal place for discussion.

The contributions will be organized around the following main topics:
• Methodological Developments in DFT
• Conceptual DFT
• Time-dependent approaches in DFT
• DFT and reactivity
• DFT and condensed phases
The conference will start with a welcome reception in the evening of August 25th, 2024 and will end on August 30th, 2024. Lectures and two poster sessions will take place between these two dates.

Abstract Submission:
Opening Registrations & Submissions: 1 September 2023
Closing Submissions: 13 March 2024 => extended until 16 April 2024
Notification of Submission status to Submitters : 30 April 2024
Deadline for the presenting author of an accepted paper to register: 31 May 2024
Conference registration:
Early bird fees deadline: 15 May 2024
